Position Title
Associate Professor
Department of Physics
University of Texas at Arlington
Dr. Yujie Chi is an Assistant Professor of Physics at UTA. She received her Ph.D. degree in theoretical physics from the theoretical physics institute of the Peking University, China (2014). She conducted her postdoctoral research in medical physics at the radiation oncology department of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW) between 2014 – 2017. During her postdoctoral training, she also completed core course studies of the CAMPEP-accredited medical physics program in both UTSW and the University of Florida. At UTA, Dr. Chi’s group focuses on the physics research and techniques in radiation medicine, including fundamental radiobiological study, clinic-oriented radiotherapy problems and ion irradiation instrument development. Techniques frequently used include macroscopic/microscopic Monte Carlo simulation, Graphical Processing Unit (GPU) parallel computing, human intelligence, and hardware design and manufacturing.
